The Annual   Report showcases the achievements and glories of our school, undoubtedly , but also makes us think  deeply about our shortcomings . We have always been committed to create an environment in the school   which helps the young minds to blossom and provide a platform for individual   thinking and holistic development of the child’s  personality.

We set standards and goals for ourselves and strive to achieve them-be it in the area of academics, sports, discipline, leadership and more.

Each year, DPS Daulatpur holds the Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony to honour   those of its students who have made the school proud with their brilliant efforts not only in the academic field but also in the co-curricular areas.

We are proud to report that 2019-20 our first batch of  Std X  Students have brought laurels to the school by their excellent results. We achieved  100% results in CBSE examination held in March 2020.This was possible because of the continuous efforts by the dedicated staff and by taking extra classes and other remedial measures to improve them.

In the  Voyage  of the discovery of excellence in the field of education ,our endeavour  of keeping the values-love ,peace ,truth, non-violence and right conduct alive in our thoughts, words and action continues .To ensure that the students develop their academic skills, our school has taken different initiatives throughout the year.

·         To enhance concentration and fun with learning Maths -Vedic  Maths  and Abacus have been started.

·         To create interest in photography - Animation  classes were conducted.

·         To encourage good  listening and speaking skills in English-Debate, Story telling ,Poem Recitation were conducted.

·         To encourage the love for Hindi language, the Hindi Department organized   Doha Recitation Competition ,  Hindi Solo Singing Competition.

Accolades in games and  sports:

‘A healthy mind  resides in a healthy body’- DPS school  has always taken the extra step to make the students believe in that .

Games and sports is the very fabric of a student’s life .It holds them together  builds, character and promotes team work.

The Sports Department organized a series of Inter house indoor and out door tournaments for the games- chess , carrom, football  throughout the year. There has been an increase in participation and achievements in skating , Taekwondo, football  outside the school arena ,such as interschool , state level  national  and Inter national level  events.

OLYMPIAD :

‘’The quality  of your thinking determines  the quality of your mind.’’

Participation in  Science , Maths , English and G.K. Olympiad  itself  is the biggest competition where a student competes to  outshine others. It infuses a healthy  competitive spirit through reward based assessment.

SCHOOL HOUSES:

“Strength does not come from physical capacity, it comes from unity.”

The students of the school are divided into six different houses. Chenab,  Jhelum, Sutlej ,Ganga, Ravi, Yamuna. Each   house is managed  by Teachers and Students as  House Captain ,House Vice –Captain and House Prefects. The House on duty performs its duty of conducting the day-to-day activities, competitions in systematic and disciplined manner.

SCHOOL CLUBS:

‘’All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.”

Various Co-Curricular Activities are held under different Clubs to develop a child physically, morally, socially and mentally and to hone skills in co-scholastic areas. Regular Club Activities are held in which the students participate and display their caliber.

The different Clubs are Eco Club, Heritage Club, Health and Hygiene Club, Anti Harassment Club.

Educational trip:

By providing a conducive and encouraging  environment and to expand learning

through experience,  trips were organized   by different school clubs .

On 4^th December, students were taken to Roorkee for awareness about the Air purifier plants .

On 5^th December, the students were taken to a village Imlikhera  and a Nukkad  natak was presented by them conveying the message to protect our ancient monuments.

On 18^th December, students of class Prep .Sr till class 2 were taken for fun and enjoyment   to a movie hall.

On 28^th January, students of class VI –VIII   were taken to Patanjali  Research Center.

 

 

Staff enrichment programme:

In the vast and diverse field of education , staying updated  forms a vital parameter to enhance the process of teaching and learning .A number of workshops were organized for Students ,Teachers and Principal.

Self- Defence  Awareness:

“I don’t even call it violence when it’s in self defence ; I call it intelligence. Be an Opponent, Not a victim.”

Creating awareness among our students is the need of the time. Keeping in mind the safety of children, a preliminary workshop on Self –Defence for girl students was organized.

Creative Expression:

‘’The world is but a canvas to the imagination’’. The2nd Inter School   Creative Art and Craft ‘Kalangan’-2019 was organized  on  19 December, 2019.  It served as a platform to project the innate talents, innovation and creativity of the students in art and craft. Around 200 children from several schools across Haridwar painted their imagination in bold and beautiful colours.

 Art and Slogan writing Competition was held on 1^st February, 2020 .

Creative workshop of photography was also conducted on 1^st February, 2020.  To motivate and encourage these students, a Prize Distribution Ceremony was organized on 24^th February.

Strengthening synergies between students and teachers:

The Director of the school Mr. Peeyush Jain conducted motivational classes for students of class X to help students to deal with exam stress.

Blessing Ceremony for the students of class X was held   on 5^th February . On this occasion ,School  Pro Vice Chairman , Directors and Principal blessed the students and motivated them to perform well in the examination. Valuable exam tips to excel in the board examination were given to the students and they were showered with their blessings.

Cultural  Programme:

1^ST Cultural Fiesta ‘ PRAVAAH ‘ was held on 18 and 19 November, 2019 at DPS Daulatpur. It showcased  mesmerizing  performances of the students . A series of Live Performances   started from great rockers to Mission Mangal,  Sanskaar : Parivaar Ka Aadhaar to Srishti  Ka Saar- Beti, and many more.  The programme was a big hit- it was appreciated by all the parents  .Each parent felt proud to be associated with DPS family. Words of praises were heard from all the corners for the entire team of DPS Daulatpur  Management, Staff  and Principal for  organizing such a grand  show .
